Chief Natasha Milarose
AKA:
Government officer, project commander
Relations:
Occupation: Overseeing research on Gal Da Val
Special Powers:
Affiliations:
Enemies:

Chief Natasha is one of the first people you'll meet upon arrival in Episode 2. She is in charge of the research and investigation of Gal Da Val Island, and the mysterious messages coming from somone on it. She seems very buisness-like and professional, somewhat like Tyrell. She wants you to take a VR test to prove your worth before being sent to investigate the island. As you listen to messages and explore, she basically wonders the same things you do. The charachter would be unremarkable, except for what the other NPCs say about her. All you are able to gather is that she is a retired officer, and several people tell you how you should not look into her background. This is, of course, meant to make you suspicious of her right away, unfortunatly, there's no way to look into her background available now.

As revealed in the "Control Tower" quests, Natasha is very strong-willed, and used to work under Tyrell.

Elly Person
AKA:
Lab worker/AI maintainance/Operator
Relations:
Occupation: Maintain Ship AI, Guide hunters
Special Powers:
Affiliations:
Enemies:

This is the same Elly Person that you met in the previous episode, but her role has changed so dramatically here, that she recieves a new entry. After discovering and making the backup of the Pioneer 1 AI, Calus, she brought it aboard P2, and this ship is currently useing him as its AI. "Alive" and well, Elly and Callus help to do research on Gal Da Val island, and also guide you through most of your trip through episode 2. She functions basically like the "Rico Plates" did in the first episode, talking to you through devices you find along the way, letting you access various hints and data. Elly is even more talkative and personable then in the first episode, and it also becomes apparent that she is...physically attracted to certain machines. She is also quite smitten with Callus, which got her this job in the first place. See also Seat of the Heart

Singing Girl
AKA:
Civillian
Relations:
Occupation:
Special Powers:
Affiliations:
Enemies:

Appearing only on the ship, this musical NPC is generally used to convey little bits of information and occaisonal thoughtful comments. She dosn't seem very old, and will sing various notes when she speaks. "Ta la la" She is cheerful despite what is going on around her. She is friends with Elly Person.

Olga
AKA: Evil Computer
Computer
Relations: Vol Opt, Callus
Occupation: Researcher for Pioneer 1, first of 3 sentient ship AIs.
Special Powers:
Affiliations: Was literally merged with Heathcliff Flowen
Enemies: Anyone, no one, or Osto Hyle

Olga was one of the three sentient AIs that Pioneer 1 brought with them to guide the ship and help to settle Ragol. She/it is mentioned in Spirit of Steel, but the whole truth is revealed in Episode 2. Vol Opt, was probably the first to be corrupted by Falz, and you fight it as a boss in the mines, where it had been installed. Olga was moved from the main colony on Ragol to do research on Gal Da Val island. Calus was rescued by Elly Person in episode 1, presumeably from Vol Opts' influence. Later, in hopes of being able to control the mutated Heathcliff Flowen, Dr. Osto merged the AI of Olga with Flowen's mind, creating Olga Flow, the final boss.

Deputy Commander HeathCliff Flowen
AKA: Olga Flow, ALSO "Sir GrayBeard"
Soldier/unique costume, Whitill
Relations:
Occupation: Deputy Commander of Pioneer 1 Military Force
Special Powers:
Affiliations: Mentor and trainer to Red Ring Rico
Enemies: Osto Hyle,

HeathCliff Flowen was the hero of the Military. Respected for his courage and intellegence, he was a prime candidate to go on board Pioneer 1 to help settle Ragol. All of the officers of both Pioneer 1 and 2 look up to this brave man. He worked with Donoph Baz and Zoke Miyama on Coral battling for their home nation. They were all made high ranking officers, but Zoke and Donoph abandoned the military because it went against their 'principals' at some point. He was also Red Ring Rico's mentor and trainer. She carved his name into the hilt of her prototype Red Weapons. His famous Sword, "Flowens Sword" can be found within the game. However, several companies such as "Mick Co." among others, have created replicas of varous accuracy. (Much like the common "DB's Saber") * Note: He is called Sir GrayBeard...yet he has no beard

You learn of Flowens' horrible fate through his logs which Calus is able to download into the many "Elly-disks" found on Gal Da Val island and in the Sea Bed Labratory. When the researchers of Pioneer 1 opened up the ancient space ship and unleashed Falz, it did not simply rise up and kill everyone right away. It killed the initial team of military and scientists, but Flowen managed to escape. However, he was infected with "D cells" which made his wounds seem to come to life on his body. Flowen was not young at this time, and he realized that he would soon die of his injuries no matter what. In a last brave effort to help the people he had tried for so many years to protect, he pledged his body to science, in hopes of finding a way to defeat the dark entity. Dr. Osto, the lead researcher is fascinated by what the infectious D Cells are doing to Flowens' wounds. In return for granting the Deputy Commander his last wish, the scientists take Flowen away to the distant Gal Da Val research facility under the ocean.

HeathCliff Flowen's last wish was to deny or delay the coming of Pioneer 2 to Ragol. After witnessing the power of Falz, and knowing its influence, he knew the whole planet was not safe. However, it has been mentioned that Ragol, and it's mysterious captive (Falz) WAS have purposely targeted. Why? By who? For what purpose? However, no one ever sent out his message, but by that point, he had been too badly experimented upon to do anything about it. Ostos' experiments went awry though, and he began losing control of Flowen's horribly mutated state. In an effort to control it, he merged the AI, Olga with it, createing Olga Flow. This degraded version was cast down into the "Failed Experiment Pit" beneath the Sea Bed....where it existed, still alive and concious enough to send messages to Pioneer 2, in hopes of leading you to it, to end the misery forever...

Pagainini
AKA:
FOnewm/Unique costume
Relations: Father to Hopkins
Occupation: Researcher, scientist, blacksmith, collector, trader
Special Powers: Adding special attacks to Sranks, putting %s on weapons
Enemies: Natasha?
Affiliations:

Paganini can be found within a special sealed room of Pioneer 2, episode 2. You can only reach him by talking to his son, Hopkins. This rich and influential trader is looking for photon drops. He has a large array of items, some of which he isn't sure what they are for. He will trade you a variety of items which cannot be found elsewhere for various numbers of PDs. He can now add several different kinds of special attacks to your Srank weapon. He is also researching weapons technology in the hopes of creating even more powerful items.

Through the "Control Tower" quests, you learn that Paganini is a scientist above all else. He requests that you get data for him from both the top room of the East Tower and from the Sea Bed facility beneath the West Tower. This information is study data left over from Pioneer 1 research done in the area. Although Natasha insists that the findings from the quest be kept secret, you can give it to him anyway. (so that he will add bonuses to your weapons) During the second quest, "West Tower", you learn that he was caught with some of the data from the East Tower, and heavily punished by Chief Milarose. (Probably fines levied, as he is rich) He is, of course, an honorable shady buisness man, and doesn't implicate you in the info leak.

Is Paganini a member of Black Paper? On "Gallons' Roulette" if you land on the Paganini figure, you get The Black Gear, a special sheild (visible) which bears the official seal/logo of Black Paper. The shield has a serial number on it, which is somehow connected to your character data, as everyone who gets one seems to have a different serial. The shield says it is given only to high-ranking BP members. Why did they associate the Paganini icon with this obvious Black Paper item?

"Monstah" Ohta
AKA:
Civillian Human
Relations:
Occupation:
Special Powers: Not much
Enemies:
Affiliations:

"Monstah" Ohta appears in the quests Famitsu Maximum Attack 2, as well as Rappy Holiday. In Max-Attack, he claims to have a wonderful special weapon to give to hunters who are trying to achieve the 10 million enemy goal...unfortunatly, he hasn't got it with him......

In Rappy Holiday, he only appeared during a special timed event, where he claimed to have the power to break rocks. When you reach a certain spot down on Ragol, a rock wall blocking a path does indeed break, but whether or not it's his doing was never clear. Maybe it is related to the Knack.

Karen Graheart
AKA:
RAmarl Military Yellow hair, light beige, wears a hat
Relations: Leo Graheart- Father
Occupation: Military Soldier
Special Powers:
Enemies:
Affiliations: P2 Military

Karen is the "Stock RAmarl" to the Game Cube new classes. Of the 3 new stock characters, she's the only one to be named so far. She has a faithful RAcast partner (the Stock RAcast) Gilliam. They are both associated with the Pioneer 2 military. Her father is a famous soldier, (Leo Graheart) but he is also a member of WORKS. (One of the last few surviving ones...remember, most of & the best of WORKS was on P1, and they all died. Leo is likely missing 1 eye (uses the 'patch' RAmar mask) and he is said to be missing 1 arm. (uses a cape to hide it) Her associations with the group are unknown. She appears in Seat of the Heart, and later on in Blue Burst.

In Blue Burst it is revealed that Karen really cares about her father, even though he as gone awry. She trails him throughout the Blue Burst plot, with the aid of Gilliam. To outsiders, she appears crabby and sometimes unreasonable, but she actually puts thought into things, and tries to help situations work out for the best, even if it means blocking your efforts as you attempt to do quests/advance the plot.
